Firefighters Extinguish Structure Fire

Belton firefighters extinguished a structure fire, which displaced two occupants of a mobile home in the 300 block of Cottonwood Trail on Monday.

The call was received at about 6:51 p.m. Shortly thereafter firefighters arrived and found the structure actively burning, and quickly extinguished the flames. The structure suffered significant damage, but no injuries occurred to its occupants or to any of the firefighters.

A preliminary investigation determined that the fire began on the front porch and quickly spread. The American Red Cross was contacted to support the two occupants of the structure.
