Cornoravirus Small Business Grant Application Period Opens Monday

Belton small businesses may begin to apply for Coronavirus relief grants beginning on Monday.

Under Phase 1 of the program, locally owned Belton businesses may apply for grants of up to $2,000 each. The City has a total of $61,273 in funding available from an allocation of the 2020 CARES Act.

The grant application is brief and asks for the following information:
  • Number of employees
  • Revenue decline
  • Impact of COVID-19 on business
  • Proposed use of funding
  • If funds applied for and/or received from elsewhere
  • Did business close and/or operate on a limited capacity
  • Certification of accuracy of information provided.
The Central Texas Council of Governments (CTCOG) is administering the grant program in behalf of the City. Applications are available at beltontexas.gov/covidgrant. The application deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28.
