Health District Advisory: Possible Exposure to COVID-19

The Bell County Public Health District is issuing an advisory to people who ordered food from the Belton Pizza Hut, 400 Neil St., May 4-7 after an employee who works at the restaurant tested positive for COVID-19.

“A public notice is necessary in this case because it is too difficult to assess who may have come in contact with the employee,” Bell County Public Health Director Amanda Robison-Chadwell said.

The employee was tested for COVID-19 on May 6 after leaving work sick. The Health District is notifying customers who ordered from the restaurant as early as May 4 because the possibility that the employee may have been contagious before becoming symptomatic. The test results came back positive today.

The restaurant has temporarily closed for sanitation purposes.
