Mike Rodgers Selected as Finance Director

The City of Belton has concluded its search for a Finance Director, and selected Mike Rodgers, 51, to lead the Finance Department.

 Mr. Rodgers, a certified public accountant (CPA), has 19 years of municipal government experience, including 13 years as the Finance Director at the City of Webster.

 “I am pleased Mike has accepted the position as Belton Finance Director,” City Manager Sam Listi said. “His experience will serve him well here in Belton. We are confident in his ability to lead such an important department within the city.”

  Mr. Rodgers has a BBA in Accounting from Northeast Louisiana University, and is a past president of the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas.   

 “My wife and I cannot wait to become part of the Belton community,” Mr. Rodgers said. “It is such a wonderful place to live and work. I’m honored to serve the citizens of Belton as the new Director of Finance.”

 Mr. Rodgers replaces former Finance Director Brandon Bozon, whose last day was June 28. Mr. Bozon accepted a position at Temple College as Vice President of Administrative Services, Chief Financial Officer. Assistant Finance Director Susan Allamon has served as Finance Director during the interim period.

 The first day of work for Mr. Rodgers will be Monday, Dec. 9.
