Temporary Road Closure Necessary for Sewer Project
North Blair St., between E. 6th Ave. and E. 7th Ave., and E. 7th Ave., between N. Blair St. and Waco Rd. are scheduled to be closed Oct. 9-25 to accomodate utility work in the area.
The road closures will be day and night, including weekends.
This closure is for the installation of a new sewer line as part of the Waco Road Sewer Replacement Project. The City has contracted with McLean Construction of Killeen to perform this work.
During construction it is important to remove vehicles, trash cans, basketball nets, from the road. Vehicles left on the road during the scheduled maintenance are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
Notices about the closure have been handed out to each resident within the closure area. Residents along N. Blair and E. 7th will be able to access their driveways by carefully going around barricades at E. 8th Ave. and N. Beal St. Through traffic will be restricted. Residents of the Landmark Apartments will be able to access the apartment complex from Waco Rd. and E. 8th Ave.
