A bulk collection day at the Public Works facility, 1502 Holland Road, is scheduled for Belton residents from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3. Bulk collection days allow residents to dispose of items that are too large for normal weekly trash collections.
To be eligible to drop loads you must:
--Live in the Belton city limits (proof of residency is required, such as utility bill or driver's license)
--One load per household (unless authorized by code compliance)
--No hazardous waste such as paint, chemicals, TVs, tires or batteries
--No commercial bulk. Event is for residential customers, unless directed by code compliance
--Large runs of fencing are not accepted (scrap material is appropriate)
--Appliances with refrigerants must be green tagged (a green tag designates that refrigerants are removed).
