Public Hearing Planned Prior to Applying for East St. Grant

The City of Belton will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2017, Harris Community Center, 401 N. Alexander St., regarding a grant submission to the Texas Department of Agriculture for a Texas Community Development Block (TxCDBG) Grant for proposed improvements to N. East Street, between E. Central and E. 1st.

The proposed improvements include handicap accessible sidewalks, ramps, and parking spaces, in addition to enhanced lighting, new curbs and gutters, and pedestrian rails. 

The purpose of the meeting is to allow residents to comment on the project and any other community needs. The City encourages residents to participate to make their views known. Residents unable to attend this meeting may submit written comments to Sam Listi, City Manager, 333 Water St., Belton, 76513. 

Persons with disabilities that wish to attend should contact the City Clerk at 254-933-5817 to arrange for assistance. Individuals who require auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact the City Clerk at least two days before the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
