Firefighters Respond to House Fire

The Belton Fire Department responded to an emergency call today at 12:01 p.m. about a house fire in the 400 block of Armstrong Drive.

Firefighters arrived and found a fire on the back porch, which was quickly extinguished. Nobody was hurt in the fire, but the porch has fire damage and the house has smoke damage. A preliminary investigation listed the cause of the fire to be unattended coals.

The response included:

  • Two Belton Fire Trucks (8 personnel)
  • Three Belton Command Vehicles (4 personnel)
  • Sparta Valley Fire Engine (4 personnel)
  • AMR  Belton Medic (2 personnel)
  • Two Belton PD units (2 personnel)
