Christmas on the Chisholm Trial set for Dec. 1-2

This year Belton's annual holiday event, Christmas on the Chisholm Trail, will feature a synthetic ice skating rink for the first time ever with complimentary ice skating available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The event begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, with a screening of the movie Home Alone at the courthouse square on Central Avenue in downtown Belton. After the movie a tree lighting will take place in the same location.
The ice skating rink will be set up in the parking lot near Cochran Blair & Potts and will operate during the following hours:

Friday, Dec. 1 8-10 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 2 noon-6 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 3 noon-6 p.m.


The event continues on Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. with more than 100 vendors, holiday music, kid zone, Santa, food trucks, and special deals from Belton's year-round businesses in the area. Saturday's Christmas parade begins at 6 p.m. and travels down Penelope Street from the Nolan Creek bridge to 2nd Avenue.

Artificial Ice Events, the nation’s largest synthetic ice rental company sets up and installs artificial ice surfaces that require no water or refrigeration. The plastic ice surfaces are built around a technology that resembles the skating experience of real ice.

Come experience artificial ice for yourself and skate with us, admission is free, but everyone must complete a waiver.
