City Council Discusses Water Master Plan

The Belton City Council received an update about the City’s Water Master Plan during a workshop Tuesday. The presentation reviewed contractual information about how much raw water Belton has available through the Brazos River Authority (8,466 acre-feet annually) and the maximum amount of raw water Bell County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 is contracted to treat each day (10 million gallons).

The workshop also included projections for future water use, listed major system limitations, and recommended improvements to address limitations. The slide deck for the workshop is available online.
