Belton FD Sponsoring Poster Contest for Fire Prevention Week

Belton Fire Department is holding a Poster Contest to spread awareness about the importance of planning and practicing two ways out of a house fire. 

The winning posters will be featured on the 2018 Belton Fire Department calendar. 

The coloring contest is in support of an initiative promoted by the National Fire Protection Association called Every Second Counts: Plan Two Ways Out .

Posters must be dropped off at 420 Sparta Rd. by Friday, Oct. 27. 

Rules: 

  • Participants must be in grades K – 5 and live inside the Belton city limits
  • Use bright colors, no pencil
  • Must focus on planning “Two Ways Out”
  • Contain the headline “Every Second Counts, Plan 2 Ways Out” 
  • On the back of the poster place the child’s name and grade, parent’s name, phone number and email address, child’s favorite month
