Belton Fire Department Responds to Capital Truck & Equipment Fire

Belton Fire Department Investigators, assisted by a fire investigator from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, are investigating the cause of an overnight fire that caused extensive fire and smoke damage to Capital Truck and Equipment, 4790 S. Interstate 35 Frontage Road.

Firefighters reported seeing heavy smoke and flames as the first units arrived to the scene at 9:42 p.m. on Thursday, February 19. One firefighter was injured by falling debris and was treated at the hospital and later released back to duty. No other injuries were reported.
