Belton Fire Department to Distribute Fans to Help Residents Deal with Heat

Belton Fire Department is partnering with Belton Walmart, Belton H-E-B, and Belton Professional Firefighters Association to help those in need to receive relief during extreme heat conditions. Beginning on August 31, the Fire Department will distribute fans to citizens who are in critical need of cooling measures. Elderly and disabled citizens are more sensitive to damaging effects of extreme heat including life-threatening illnesses.

Citizens who show proof of residency within Belton city limits (electric bill, water bill, etc.) are eligible to receive a free fan. Fans may be picked up any day of the week at either Belton fire station between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Distribution will continue until all fans are given away.
