Belton Police arrested Roy Dale Thornton on a charge of terrorist threat on Wednesday, Nov. 5, in connection with an alleged threatening phone call. The Belton Police Department received a call in which a man said he feared for his safety following a phone call from another male whom he said threatened to kill him.
The suspect, Thornton, was taken into custody at the victim’s house in the 600 block of S. Penelope following a previous incident where a gun was discharged in Bell County. The prior incident involving the discharge of a weapon is being handled by the Bell County Sheriff’s Department.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
