Patrons of the Lena Armstrong Public Library may now check out eBooks using a computer or mobile device. The Library began offering eBooks for check out on Monday.
Patrons may check out books by downloading the Freading app, which is available for Apple and Android platforms. The same user name and password that patrons use to access the online card catalog will allow access to the Freading eLibrary. An Adobe password may also be required. The Freading app will prompt users about it, if necessary.
Freading, which has thousands of books available, uses a token based system to limit the amount books users may check out at one time. Patrons are allowed up to five tokens a week. Books may be checked out for up to two weeks.
